Why I Started
I started this adventure as an homage to the place I call home. While many people move to Charleston to enjoy its beauty and charm, I am fortunate enough to have been born and raised here.
Growing up in the Lowcountry, some of my best memories were spent outdoors whether that be exploring the marshes or going for a ride with my grandpa in his jon boat. Life moved a little slower then.
As I got older, I realized those experiences had shaped me more than I knew. The smell of pluff mud at low tide, the sounds of the water lapping against a boat hull. They become part of the story.
Marsh Puppies was created to celebrate that way of life. It’s a brand inspired by the people, dogs, waterways, and traditions that make the Lowcountry special. It’s a reminder to spend more time outside, appreciate where you come from, and enjoy the simple moments that often mean the most.
Whether you’re from Charleston, another coastal town, or simply love the outdoors, I hope Marsh Puppies feels familiar. Because at its heart, this brand is about home.
